Four people have been arrested following a stabbing that took place at Manchester Piccadilly station on Tuesday afternoon. According to the British Transport Police, a  13-year old boy was stabbed near the station’s Fairfield Street car park just after midday. They added that a 13-year old has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, whilst three other boys, one aged 13 and two aged 12, were arrested on suspicion of affray- they have all been released on bail pendi

Unite the Union has announced that it will ballot its members who drive for Metrolink in Manchester. If successful, it would see the drivers strike just as the busy Christmas Shopping rush starts. The union claim that the drivers are working 450 hours over a 12-week period, whilst having fewer rest days when compared to other operational departments.
