Shock radio celebrated 21 years of broadcasting in November 2023. last year, we accumulated 1.8 thousand listeners on Mixcloud and in 2022, we achieved four bronze Amplify awards for best contribution to the region, best promotional initiative, best station culture, and most outstanding committee member.
We have worked with Student Music Network UK and the Student Radio Association on successful events, Scruff of the Neck record label for live gig reviews, and Comic Relief for a 24-hour 'Comedy Campsite' live broadcast from the student's union. Furthermore, we provided live coverage at the University of Chester as our universities went head-to-head in sporting events for the Varsity title 2022.
