Chief Inspector Michael Parker has been awarded Greater Manchester Police’s Chief Constable Commendation for lifesaving First Aid while off duty. Parker received the award after saving a man’s life while waiting for a train at Salford Crescent. The man was spotted on the floor, not breathing, which led to Parker starting CPR.

Bee Network has warned that some buses that serve The Quays Bus Stop will be disrupted on Thursday 6th November due to filming.  Passengers have been told that the 53 ans 79 will not serve the Quays and will instead divert via Trafford Road. Unite the Union has announced that it will ballot its members who drive for Metrolink in Manchester. If successful, it would see the drivers strike just as the busy Christmas Shopping rush starts. The union claim that the drivers are working 450 hours over a 12-week period, whilst having fewer rest days when compared to other operational departments.
