Tragedy as body found in the Salford Quays

Emergency services have been present at the Salford Quays this afternoon, after a body was pulled from the water, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson has confirmed.
Police have closed an area around the Salford Water Sports Centre. Several GMP vehicles were present at the scene this lunchtime.
A forensic tent was seen being set up, and Quays Road was closed in both directions between Winnipeg Road and Salford Water Sports centre.
Greater Manchester Police are yet to formally identify the body, and at present can not confirm the circumstances around the death.
