Police are appealing for information after a firearms discharge in Salford on Friday evening.
A large number of officers attended the scene on Ashfield Close including forensics after being called at 11:45 pm.
No injuries were reported and no arrested have been made at this stage.
Detective Inspector Rebecca McGuigan of GMP’s Salford District said: "We believe that 4-5 males attempted to gain access to the property on Ashfield Close and discharged a weapon in their attempts to intimidate the residents of the property. The males were reported to be dressed in dark clothing."
Police believe this was a targeted attack and there is no risk to the wider public, patrols in the area have been increased.
Detective Inspector McGuigan added: "We would like to urge the public to come forward if they have any information that could assist our investigation, whether it be CCTV footage, doorbell footage, photos, or descriptions of the suspects or events, we would ask that you report it to us directly."
