Major IT outage reported at GP surgeries across Greater Manchester

GP surgeries across Greater Manchester are suffering a major IT outage today.

The outage is affecting computer systems as well as phone lines.

NHS GM are looking to fix the issue as soon as possible.

A spokesperson for NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care said: "There is an IT issue which is affecting some GP systems and phone lines across Greater Manchester this morning. We are seeking to resolve asap."

"If you are in need of medical help, please contact NHS 111 either online or by phone. In emergencies, please dial 999."

It's understood the issue is limited to Greater Manchester and isn't a nationwide issue.
