Five people charged in connection with a firearms discharge in Eccles



Five people have been charged in connection with a firearms discharge in Eccles.


Aiden Broadhurst, 28, of Manchester Road, Salford and Kyle Meighan, 30, of Chancel Avenue, Ordsall have both been charged with attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.


Whilst, Jaieh Sufyaan, 35, of Pyrus Close, Eccles, Andrew Whiteside, 28, of Bradley Green Road, Hyde and Philip Broadhurst 27, of Boddington Road, Eccles have also all been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.


They were remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Manchester Magistrates Court today (Friday 26th May).


These charges are a result of an investigation by GMP’s Major Incident Team into a firearms discharge on Adelaide Street in Eccles in March where a 16-year-old boy suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
