Death of man in Salford Quays is unexplained say police


Greater Manchester Police have said the circumstances in which a man in his 30's died in the Salford Quays are currently unexplained.


Emergency services made their way to MediaCityUK on Wednesday after reports of concern for welfare after a man had been seen in the canal.


Once officers and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue had arrived, they recovered the body of a man in his 30's who had sadly died.

The water at Salford Quays is between 5 and 8 degrees usually at this time of year.


A pop up white and yellow forensics tent was put up underneath high end bar and restaurant, The Alchemist.


While his death is being treated as unexplained, GMP's investigation is still ongoing.
