The Shakers looked the far better side in this Greater Manchester Derby netting 5 against Wythenshawe.

It was tight match in the first 5 minutes with both sides putting in decent crosses into the box that could have led to something, but in the end it was Bury who broke the deadlock early with Kai Evans putting a ball over the top of the Wythenshawe defence for DJ Pedro to latch onto and place into the top of the net to beat the keeper at the far post and make it 1:0 Bury FC.
This was followed up with another good attack from Bury with some great dribbling from the creator of the first goal, Kai Evans. To no final product however as Bebeto Gomes puts the cross over any Bury attacker.
Gomes quickly made up for this however as he cut the Ball back to Rustam Stepans who then curled a beautiful shot from just outside the box into the far corner of the net, leaving Luke Hewitson with absolutely no chance. Stepans will be hoping that this goal makes him back-to-back goal of the month winner after winning it in September. That beautiful effort made it 2:0 to the Shakers.
Things went from bad to worse for Wythenshawe minutes later when midfielder Jack Taylor was given a yellow for a foul just outside the Wythenshawe Box, nothing came from the free kick however as Evans poked the ball wide from the Cross.
Allen was forced into a save after Dylan Wood’s freekick made its way into the Bury box, by some distance Wythenshawe’s best chance of the game so far as Allen was forced to deflect the header for a corner to Wythenshawe.
This was immediately followed by another free kick this time by Danny Edwards but this was claimed by Allen. A minute later Allen was forced to claim the ball again from a Darius smith cross.
Pressure was clearly building on Bury but keeper Mitch Allen’s calm presence in net secured no goals for Wythenshawe despite their good chances.
This soaking of the pressure by Bury resulted in winning the ball in midfield, lead to Stepans getting room to run down the line before cutting it back to Glynn who sent the ball whistling over the cross bar.
A decent cross from Stepans was claimed by Hewitson but these growing chances finally went the Shakers way as DJ Pedro was played through by Glynn to then cooly slot away his second of the day into the bottom right corner. The 21-Year-old is Burys top goal scorer this season and the quality he possesses is clear to everyone. 3:0 in half an hour for Bury.
Minutes later Pedro missed a chance from a cross but made it up to the Bury fans in the 34th minute scoring from a flicked pass from Kai Evans to shoot the ball across the box into the left bottom corner a wonder of a finish.
This is the second time in two matches that the game had been 4-0 to Bury in less than 45 minutes after being four goals up verses Chasetown in 33 minutes.
Half a chance for Wythenshawe later as Rhami sends one whistling over the bar on the far side, it never really looked like a proper opportunity.

Right on the cusp of half time a rash decision from Hewitson to come out and claim the ball caused him to have to take down Kai Evans who put the ball past him, resulting in a yellow card for the keeper that could have easily been a red.
The following free kick was cleared by the Wythenshawe defence. 4-0 Bury going into half time.
Wythenshawe had a brilliant opportunity to get one back early into the second half had it not been for an amazing save from Mitch Allen followed immediately by a Connor Pye goal line clearance to keep Burys four goal lead.
A cross from Pedro landed on the head of Stepans who’s header left the cross bar reverberating, Stepans was clearly looking to get his second of the day as he has another great chance after getting the ball squared to him by Pedro before taking a shot that was saved magnificently by Luke Hewitson.
The goal for Stepans did come though after some commotion in the box the ball fell to the forward for him to curl into the top left corner no chance for Hewitson this time. Five excellent goals for Bury.
DJ Pedro was unfortunate to sky the ball on the volley in the sixty ninth minute an uncharacteristic bad finish from the striker.
Pressure began to mount on Bury in the last twenty minutes, Reece Kendall foul outside the box got him a yellow and a great opportunity for Wythenshawe to do something, which they absolutely did with a stunner of a free kick from Dylan Woods to get the first goal of the day for Wythenshawe. 5-1 to Bury.

DJ Pedro left the pitch with a standing ovation from around the ground in the seventy fifth minute, being replaced by Gavin Massey.
Jonny Nixon got another for Wythenshawe in the seventy eighth minute the ball being played over the Bury defence for Nixon to run onto and finish. 5-2 would not have been the result Bury wanted a 5-0 due to how crucial goal difference could be come the end of the season.
Bury very much had to weather the storm for the last ten minutes taking the ball to the corner whenever they could, after some back and forth the game finished 5-2 to Bury.
This result sends the Shakers top of the Northern Premier League West and gives them there sixth league win in a row, 2742 fans were in attendance to watch this thriller at Gigg Lane and the result will give Bury confidence going into their clash against Sporting Khalsa on Saturday.
