Barnardo’s to receive 1,000 Paddington Bears left in tribute to Queen

A charity set up to care for vulnerable children is going to receive a thousand of the Paddington Bear toys left in tribute to the late monarch.

The Royal Family shared the news on Twitter with a special picture of The Queen Consort surrounded by the bears which have been "scrubbed up to look their best".

The photo was taken on the 64th anniversary of the publication of the first Paddington Bear book by Michael Bond.
