"Toxic" Andrew Tate arrested on allegations of human trafficking
The controversial kick-boxer rose to fame on social media this year for his misogynistic and patriarchal views.
Romanian Police have arrested Tate, along with his younger brother Tristan aged 34, in Bucharest relating to allegations of rape, human trafficking, and forming an organised crime group.
Prosecutors state that Andrew Tate was: ‘recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content.’
The influencer, who thrives off of being outrageous, had his luxury apartment raided by authorities after they realised he was in Romania owing to a takeaway pizza box.
It came in the midst of a Twitter spat with young environmental activist, Greta Thunberg.
Following his arrest, Greta wasted no time in taking a swipe at Tate tweeting: "this is what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes."
Chicago-born Tate has been branded 'the king of toxic masculinity' for his online tirades against women.
