Membership Terms and Conditions
By submitting an application to join Shock Radio you are agreeing to the terms and conditions shown below. Terms and conditions can change at any time without notice, however will be displayed on shockradio.co.uk at all times.
(1) Standard membership fee stands at £25. Paying membership will make you a member of the society, but will not guarantee you a show. Shows are only allocated through online show applications.
(a) All members (including committee) are required to pay this membership fee before being allowed on air. Failure to do this may result in your show/role being removed.
(b) Once you have paid the membership fee, it will grant you membership for the full 17/18 academic year. The standard membership fee will never change during the academic year.
(2) Members who are successful in their show/producer/team/podcast application(s) should arrive 45 minutes before their scheduled slot. This should be taken into consideration when submitting an application.
(3) Music policy:
(a) Shock Radio has a set playlist which is plays out during specific hours. Shows which are labelled as 'playlist' should not defer from the set playlist without permission from an Executive Producer. Shows labelled as 'Specialist' can defer from the set playlist. However, all 'Specialist' shows must play music related to their specific genre chosen when applying for a show. Questions regarding the playlist should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
(b) All music must be deemed as 'clean' and not contain any obscene, explicit or offensive language or meaning. Shock Radio does not operate a watershed.
Shock Radio's Station Manager and University of Salford Students' Union's Activities Co-ordinator reserve the right to remove any show from the schedule at any time. Any
