Artist of the Week - A. Chal

This week’s new artist is A.Chal. The LA based artist has music that incorporates elements of R&B, Soul and Hip-Hop in order to create his own style of Hip-Hop. A.Chal began first rapping at the age of 12 in New York’s borough, Queens and later moved to Los Angeles to pursue his music career. His album GAZI became an album that consisted of creative flare. After speaking with IDOL, A.Chal explained he 100% does all of his creative direction, adding “there’s no real process in coming up with the aesthetics, because it’s based on how I’m feeling”. Irish pop band ‘picture this’ took on Manchester O2 Academy on Friday 3rd November, they're sold out the show had everyone's attention drawn to them while they performed songs from their new album. At the start of the night, around 8 o’clock, their support act Catherine Mcgrath performed songs such as ‘Just in case’ an original by her to a cover of ‘Run’ by Snow Patrol. With her pop-country vibe, she has everyone in the audience connected with what she was singing as she was drawing from her own emotions when singing, especially her originals. Oh Wonder - Technicolour Wonder - Gig Review

The London-based, alt-pop duo Oh Wonder started their UK leg of their Ultralife World Tour on October 31st at the famous Manchester Academy. Opening up for them was 21-year-old Norwegian Sigrid. She and her amazingly talented band warmed up the crowd with hits like Don’t kill my vibe, Plot twist and Dynamite. Sigrid’s infectious and friendly vibes prepared the fans for the energy explosion that Oh Wonder later brought to the stage. Opening up with Dazzle, the duo didn’t disappoint from the moment they started the song.
